The Student Portal gives families a private login where they can see their lesson schedule, check assignments, log practice time, and communicate with you. It’s available on all plans, including Free.
How to enable the portal for a family
- Go to Students and select a student
- Click the Portal tab on their profile
- Toggle Portal Access to on
- A unique PIN will be generated for that family
- Click Send Welcome Email to email the family their login link and PIN
Each family gets a unique 6-digit PIN. They don’t need to create a username or password, which makes it easy for parents and younger students.
What families can access
The portal includes:
- Dashboard — overview of upcoming lessons and recent activity
- Schedule — view all upcoming and past lessons
- Assignments — see current assignments and submit completed work
- Practice — log practice sessions, view streaks and achievements
- Messages — send and receive messages with the teacher
- Billing — view invoices and payment history (if billing is enabled)
- Resources — access shared files, sheet music, and recordings
Previewing the portal
You can see exactly what a family sees by clicking Preview Portal on any student’s profile. This opens the portal in a new tab using your teacher credentials.
