Assignments and resources are two ways to share practice materials and instructions with your students through the portal.
Creating assignments
- Go to Assignments in the sidebar
- Click + New Assignment
- Select the student(s) to assign it to
- Add a title and description
- Add checklist items — specific tasks the student should complete
- Set a due date
- Click Save
Assignment items
Each assignment can have multiple checklist items. For example, an assignment titled “Week 3 Practice” might include:
- Practice Scales in C Major (5 minutes daily)
- Work on measures 8-16 of Moonlight Sonata
- Sight-read one new piece
- Review theory worksheet
Students check off each item as they complete it, and you can see their progress.
Tracking completion
On the Assignments page, you can see:
- Which assignments are active and which are complete
- Completion percentage for each student
- When items were checked off
Resource library
The Resources page is your shared file library. Upload materials once, then assign them to students as needed.
Uploading resources
- Go to Resources in the sidebar
- Click + Upload
- Select your files (PDF, audio, video, images)
- Add a title and description
- Set the skill level (all, beginner, intermediate, advanced)
- Organize into folders if desired
- Click Save
Supported file types
- PDFs — Sheet music, theory worksheets, practice guides
- Audio — Practice recordings, accompaniment tracks
- Video — Performance demos, technique tutorials
- Images — Fingering charts, theory diagrams
- External links — YouTube videos, online resources
Storage limits
Storage space depends on your plan:

You can see your current storage usage on the Resources page.
How students access resources
Students see assigned resources on the Resources page in their portal. They can search by title, filter by type, and download files directly.
