Syncing with External Calendars

Nova can export your teaching schedule as an iCal feed, which you can subscribe to from Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or any calendar app that supports iCal URLs.

Getting your calendar feed URL

Go to Settings
Find Calendar Sync
Click Generate Calendar URL
Copy the URL that appears

This is a Pro plan feature. The calendar feed is read-only — changes made in your external calendar won’t sync back to Nova.

Adding to Google Calendar

Open Google Calendar
Click the + next to “Other calendars” in the left sidebar
Select From URL
Paste your Nova calendar feed URL
Click Add calendar

Your Nova lessons will appear alongside your other calendars. Google Calendar refreshes the feed periodically (usually every few hours).

Adding to Apple Calendar

Open the Calendar app on your Mac
Go to File > New Calendar Subscription
Paste your Nova calendar feed URL
Click Subscribe
Choose how often to refresh (every hour is recommended)

On iPhone/iPad, go to Settings > Calendar > Accounts > Add Account > Other > Add Subscribed Calendar and paste the URL.

Adding to Outlook

Open Outlook and go to the Calendar
Right-click Other calendars and select Add calendar from internet
Paste the URL and click OK

Security

Your calendar feed URL contains a personal token that’s unique to your account. Don’t share it publicly. If you need to revoke access, you can generate a new URL in Settings, which invalidates the old one.
