Group lessons let you schedule classes with multiple students at the same time — perfect for group classes, ensemble rehearsals, or theory sessions.
Creating a group lesson
- Go to the Calendar
- Click + New Event or click on a time slot
- Select Group as the lesson type
- Add a title (e.g., “Tuesday Theory Class”)
- Add students to the group
- Set the capacity (maximum number of students)
- Set the date, time, and duration
- Optionally make it recurring
- Click Save
Managing group attendees
You can add or remove students from a group lesson at any time:
- Click on the group lesson in the Calendar
- Click Edit
- Add or remove students from the attendee list
Drop-in lessons
If you allow students to drop in to group classes, you can enable the Drop-in option when creating the event. This lets students (via the portal) sign up for open spots.
Attendance for groups
When marking attendance for a group lesson, you’ll see all enrolled students and can mark each one individually as present, absent, or excused.
Group pricing
Group lessons can have a different price than individual lessons. Set the price per student when creating the event, or set it per-student in their profile.
