Most music lessons happen at the same time every week. Nova makes it easy to set up recurring schedules so you don’t have to create each lesson manually.
Adding a recurring lesson
- Navigate to Calendar in the sidebar
- Click the + New Event button or click directly on a time slot
- Select the student from the dropdown
- Set the day, start time, and duration
- Toggle Recurring to on
- Choose the recurrence pattern (weekly is most common)
- Click Save
The lesson will now appear on your calendar every week at that time.
Editing a recurring series
When you click on a recurring lesson and choose Edit, Nova will ask whether you want to edit:
- This event only — changes just this single occurrence
- This and future events — changes this event and all future occurrences
- All events — changes every occurrence in the series
Editing a single occurrence won’t affect the rest of the series. This is useful for one-time schedule changes.
Viewing your weekly schedule
The Calendar page offers three views:
- Week view — see all lessons for the current week
- Day view — focus on a single day
- Month view — overview of the full month
Use the arrow buttons or swipe (on mobile) to navigate between weeks.
