Canceling and Rescheduling Lessons

Things come up — students get sick, schedules change. Nova makes it easy to cancel or reschedule individual lessons or entire series.

Canceling a single lesson

Click on the lesson in the Calendar
Click Delete or Cancel
Choose This event only
Confirm the cancellation

The lesson is removed from the calendar. The rest of the recurring series remains unchanged.

Rescheduling a lesson

Click on the lesson in the Calendar
Click Edit
Choose This event only
Change the date, time, or duration
Click Save

You can also drag and drop lessons to a new time slot directly on the Calendar. This works in both Week and Day views.

Modifying a recurring series

If a student’s regular lesson time needs to change permanently:

Click on any lesson in the series
Click Edit
Choose This and future events
Update the day, time, or other details
Click Save

This updates all future occurrences while preserving past lesson history.

Deleting an entire series

Click on any lesson in the series
Click Delete
Choose All events to remove the entire series
Confirm

Deleting all events in a series also removes attendance records for those lessons. If a student is ending lessons, consider deleting only future events instead.
