Email Notifications

Nova sends emails on your behalf for several key events. All emails come from your studio name so families know it’s from you.

When emails are sent

Nova sends email notifications for:

  • New messages — When you send a direct message to a family
  • Broadcast messages — When you send an announcement
  • Invoices — When you create and send an invoice
  • Portal welcome — When you enable portal access and send a welcome email
  • Lesson reminders — If lesson reminders are enabled in Settings

What emails look like

All emails are branded with your studio name and include:

  • Your studio name in the header
  • The relevant content (message text, invoice details, etc.)
  • A call-to-action button (e.g., “View Message”, “Pay Invoice”, “Log In to Portal”)
  • Your studio’s contact email in the footer

Email sender

Emails are sent from Nova’s email system on behalf of your studio. The “From” name shows your studio name (e.g., “Kenna Martin Piano Studio via Nova”).

Families should add Nova’s email to their contacts to prevent messages from going to spam.

Managing notifications

You can configure which emails are sent in Settings. For example, you can turn lesson reminders on or off, or choose whether to auto-send invoices or save them as drafts.
